Our signature dish. These delicate dumplings are shaped by hand and filled with seasoned minced pork and a sphere of concentrated broth that melts when steamed. They are served traditionally in a bamboo steaming basket with black vinegar and ginger.
Tips from diners
Be careful! The broth inside is very hot. Place the dumpling on a spoon, bite a small hole to let the steam out, and then drink the soup before eating the rest.
The duck is marinated for 24 hours in a blend of Asian spices and then roasted until the skin is paper-thin and crispy while the meat remains juicy. It's served with a house-made hoisin dipping sauce and is a favorite for sharing.
Tips from diners
The portion is good for two people to share along with a few dumpling orders. The skin is remarkably crispy.
We specialize in pairing our food with beer. We have 4-5 rotating taps featuring local legends like Garage Beer Co and international guests. Our staff can recommend a specific beer (from a crisp IPA to a dark porter) to match your dumpling order.
Tips from diners
The tap list changes almost weekly. If they have an IPA from a local Barcelona brewery, get it — they are world-class.
A classic Hong Kong-style dessert. Our fluffy steamed buns are deep-fried until golden and crispy on the outside, then drizzled with sweet condensed milk. It's a simple, decadent, and addictive end to the meal.
Tips from diners
It sounds simple but it's incredible. The hot, fried bread and the cold, sweet milk is the perfect combination.
A necessary fresh contrast to the dumplings. We use whatever is best at the market (often Chinese broccoli, bok choy, or local chard), sautéed quickly at a very high temperature with plenty of garlic and ginger to keep them crunchy.
Tips from diners
They still have a great 'snap' to them. Perfect for balancing out the richer meat dishes.
Mosquito was the first to realize that artisanal Asian dumplings and local craft beer were a match made in heaven. Located in the Born, it remains an incredibly popular, no-frills spot where the focus is on handmade dim sum and an ever-rotating tap of the best local and international beers. It's affordable, fun, and consistently delicious.
They do not take reservations! The line starts forming at 7:45pm for dinner. Arrive at 7:30pm if you want to be in the first seating.
It's small, loud, and can be very hot in the summer. It's a fun, communal vibe — not the place for a quiet romantic date.
