Our Story

BestDishesAt.com was created by Paolo Rosson, a food enthusiast who has photographed over 1,000 dishes for restaurants across Europe. Paolo holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Oxford and authored the world's first AI cookbook in 2022. He also built MenuPhotoAI, an AI-powered food photography platform for restaurants.

The idea came from a simple frustration: there are plenty of restaurant review sites, but none focused on highlighting the specific dishes worth ordering. BestDishesAt.com fills that gap.

Our Methodology

Our editors research each restaurant using its menu, local press coverage, and publicly available feedback, then curate the dishes that genuinely stand out. Every guide is editorial: the picks, descriptions, and visiting tips reflect our team's judgement, not user-submitted reviews.

Each dish carries a BestDishesAt score out of 100 — a shorthand for how strongly we'd recommend ordering it relative to the rest of the menu. It is not a percentage of diners, a survey result, or an aggregate of ratings.

For each restaurant, we surface the highest-scoring dishes alongside details like price, category, and dietary information. If you spot something out of date, please let us know via the contact page.
