A signature small plate that reviewers consistently mention as a highlight. The beans are brightened with orange zest and dressed in good olive oil. Simple and minimalist, but the ingredient quality shines through.
Tips from diners
Order this with one of their natural white wines—the acidity bridges beautifully with the orange zest.
Thick-cut nubs of andouille au lard—a rich, intensely flavored charcuterie item. The lardo binding adds textural contrast and richness. This is a meat-lover's plate, often paired with natural red wines.
Tips from diners
Ask Camille for a red wine recommendation with this—she has an eye for pairings and will steer you toward something that plays with the richness.
A sweet-savory preparation that shows off the minimal-but-perfect approach. The richness of ricotta is brightened by the sharpness of quince, then balanced with hazelnut's toasted depth. Reviewers highlight this as proof that good taste trumps complexity.
Tips from diners
This is the perfect palette-cleanser if you've been eating rich charcuterie. Order it mid-meal, not at the start.
Simple, classic charcuterie—hard to mess up, but La Buvette sources excellent versions. The dryness concentrates flavor and pairs well with the full range of wines they stock. A no-fail order.
Tips from diners
This is an aperitif staple—start here if you're not sure what to order.
A rotating cheese selection, with Fourme d'Ambert featuring regularly. The creamy interior and earthy funk pair beautifully with natural wines. Often plated with quince paste or hazelnut oil.
Tips from diners
If they have quince jam or hazelnut oil with the cheese, absolutely get it—the pairing is what makes this plate sing.
Opened in 2013, La Buvette is the most stylish wine bar of its generation. Owner Camille Fourmont hand-selects cult natural wines and pairs them with a rotating menu of minimalist small plates—no reservations, no formal service, just wines and nibbles scrawled on a mirror.
No wine list exists. Camille has a conversation with you about what you like to drink, then recommends from her small fridge. Be open-minded and trust her taste.
La Buvette closes early (11:30pm weekdays, 11:30pm Friday-Saturday, 10pm Sunday) and is perfect for an aperitif, not a focal point of a late night. Plan accordingly.
This space is the size of an e-cigarette shop with four tiny tables and three bar stools. Arrive early if you want a table. No reservations possible.
If you bring your own wine, there's an €8 corkage fee—but even with that, BYOB is cheaper than ordering from their natural wine list.
