Frequently cited as the most Instagrammed chocolate in the city. A beautiful, high-gloss shell of ruby chocolate (naturally pink) filled with a smooth, sweet raspberry and champagne ganache. It's the ultimate edible art from the house of Escribà.

A absolute mandatory purchase. They are surprisingly small but the flavor is very intense. They make for the perfect 'cool' gift to take home to friends.
We take the traditional Xuxo (fried pastry) and fill it with our world-class crema catalana. Instead of just sugar-rolling, we hand-torch the exterior to create a hard, glass-like caramel crust. It's a refined example of textures — crunchy, soft, and creamy.
Tips from diners
The crunch on the outside is addictive. It's best had with a cup of their thick hot chocolate. One of the best sweet things I've found in Eixample.
Our version of the classic Catalan 'Suís'. A cup of our secret-recipe, extra-thick dark hot chocolate topped with a mountain of fresh, hand-whisked, unsweetened cream. It's traditional, decadent, and the ultimate winter treat.
Tips from diners
The cream is so thick it doesn't melt immediately into the chocolate. Use a spoon! Perfect for dipping their smaller pastries into.
A textbook execution of the iconic dish. Using only local farm milk, egg yolks, and high-grade cinnamon and lemon zest. It has a silky, light texture and is finished with a traditional iron-torched sugar crust for a perfect golden crunch.
Tips from diners
The cinnamon flavor is very present, just as it should be. It's much lighter than the ones you get in regular restaurants. A demonstration of tradition.
Our pastry team creates these daily based on seasonal fruits and themes. These might include a green apple-shaped mousse, a glossy chocolate sphere, or a delicate fruit tartlet. Each is a technical masterpiece highlighting different textures from the Escribà school.
Tips from diners
They are almost too pretty to eat! Look for the ones that look like real fruit — the technical skill is mind-blowing. Great for a significant afternoon tea.
Escribà is more than a pastry shop; it is a center of 'pastry theater' and architectural beauty. Led by the charismatic Christian Escribà, the house is famous for its artistic creations, from life-size chocolate sculptures to their iconic 'lip' chocolates. The original Modernista shop on Gran Via is a stunning piece of architectural and culinary history, representing over a century of Barcelona's sweet heritage.
Take a moment to look at the shop itself — the original Modernista facade and the interior wood carvings are breathtaking. It's one of the most beautiful commercial spaces in Barcelona.
The original Gran Via location has more seating than the one on the Ramblas. If you're coming with a group, the Gran Via spot is a much more comfortable and authentic experience.
