Best Dishes at B Side
Carbonara Pizza
PizzaA pizza interpretation of the classic Roman pasta. Pancetta lends smokiness, panna cream adds silky richness, and the egg cooked in the pizza oven becomes creamy and jammy. The combination is luxurious without being heavy. Multiple reviewers describe this as 'divine' — on par with the Killer Bee as B Side's top draw.
Killer Bee Pizza
PizzaThe signature pizza. Sopressata provides salty, savory depth. Chili oil brings heat that's balanced by a finishing drizzle of honey for sweetness and richness. Reviewers consistently call this 'divine' and list it as one of the most must-order items. The honey-spice-salt combination is intentional and executed perfectly.
Fresh Calamari & Burrata
AppetizersA standout appetizer. Calamari is fried until crispy and tender (not chewy). Burrata provides creamy contrast. The combination is balanced — the richness of burrata is cut by acidity from the greens and lemon. Reviewers call it 'fresh' and highlight it as a worthwhile starter before pizza.
Marge Pizza
PizzaThe classic Margherita. Simple ingredients mean quality matters — the marinara should taste of tomato, the mozzarella should be creamy, the basil should be fresh and aromatic. B Side executes this fundamental pizza without overcomplication. The wood-fired oven gives the crust a slight char and smokiness that elevates the simple formula.
Shrimp Scampi Pizza
PizzaA seafood-forward pizza that stands out on the menu. Shrimp are cooked in a white wine garlic sauce that soaks into the crust. Fresh parsley adds brightness. This is less common than the meat and cheese pizzas but reviewers consistently praise it as a special offering — often available as a daily special.
About B Side
A Side / B Side is a casual pizza and pasta concept in Hell's Kitchen featuring an authentic Pavesi wood-burning oven. Pizzas are made to order with high-quality ingredients and creative flavor combinations. The small space with high-top tables and bar seating fills quickly, especially weekends. It delivers 'high-end, fast, not-too-pricey' pizza and pasta that feels local rather than touristy.

Come between 5-6pm on weeknights for happy hour (draft beer $7, wine $10) and smaller crowds. Thursday-Saturday after 9pm the place is packed shoulder-to-shoulder. Wednesday at 5:30pm is the sweet spot.
Get two pizzas to share rather than one large. The personal pizzas are sized for 1-2 people, and ordering multiple lets you try the Killer Bee and Carbonara (the two you actually need to try).
The fried calamari & burrata is excellent but can be greasy. If you want it, order it right away and eat it fresh out of the kitchen, before it sits and absorbs oil.
The restaurant is tiny — about 12 high-tops and a short bar. If you're going with more than 2 people on a weekend, you might stand for 30-45 minutes. Come earlier or on a quiet weeknight for a better experience.
