We make our hummus throughout the day using organic chickpeas and high-quality tahini. Served in a wide bowl topped with a hit of our own hot harissa, extra virgin olive oil, and fresh parsley. Accompanied by three warm, hand-torn pitas. Simple, authentic, and perfect for sharing.
Tips from diners
The pita is so warm and airy! The hummus is remarkably smooth. Great as a shared starter while you wait for your main sandwiches.
Frequently cited as one of the best value-for-money salads in the Gothic Quarter. A base of fresh mixed greens is topped with slow-roasted seasonal vegetables, toasted nuts, seeds, local goat cheese, and a generous pour of our secret-recipe honey and mustard dressing. It's balanced, fresh, and remarkably satisfying.
Tips from diners
An absolute mandatory order if you're looking for something fresh. The portion is massive — it can easily be a main dish. The dressing is the secret!
Potatoes are double-fried for maximum crunch and served with our unique version of the classic sauce: a base of creamy garlic alioli and a topping of smoky, slightly spicy tomato-pepper oil. It's the ultimate social snack for the Gothic night crowd.
Tips from diners
The flavor of the garlic alioli is very present. It's a huge portion — great value for a group of three or four friends. Pair with a local beer.
We source premium local chicken breast and grill it to order. Served inside a toasted artisanal panini bread with a layer of our own deep-green basil pesto, melted mozzarella, and fresh tomato slices. It's a rich, savory, and consistent favorite.
Tips from diners
The pesto flavor is very intense. They don't skimp on the cheese either! One of the most satisfying toasted sandwiches in the neighborhood.
A favorite for the terrace. We use local red wine and a secret spice mixture, infused for 24 hours with a generous amount of fresh seasonal fruits (mango, citrus, berries). It's balanced, not too sweet, and incredibly refreshing on a hot Barcelona afternoon.
Tips from diners
Much better quality than the tourist traps on the Ramblas. The fruit is actually fresh and you can taste the quality of the wine. Best shared among four people.
Oviso is a landmark of the 'real' Gothic Quarter. Located on the bustling Carrer d'Arai, it has been a sanctuary for artists, travelers, and locals for decades. With its graffiti-covered bathroom, eclectic music, and a decidedly relaxed atmosphere, it focus on honest, affordable food — from creative salads and sandwiches to unique world-infused tapas, all served with a friendly and unpretentious spirit.
The terrace in the square is one of the coolest spots in the Gothic Quarter for people-watching. It fills up fast, so if you're a small group, show up around 6:00pm. The interior has a great 'vintage' bar vibe too.
Expect it to be noisy and high-energy. It's a hub for the local alternative scene. The staff are very friendly and usually speak multiple languages. It feels a bit like a home away from home.
