Tender octopus legs are grilled on the plancha to achieve a smoky, crispy exterior. It is served over a silky, buttery potato parmentier and finished with a dash of smoked Pimentón de la Vera and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
Tips from diners
The octopus is very tender, not chewy at all. The potato foam is incredibly smooth. Pair it with a crisp white wine.
A highlight of the menu. We offer a rotating selection of Nigiri and Sashimi using Mediterranean catches like Bluefin Tuna from L'Ametlla and local scallops. The quality is remarkably high for a multi-concept venue, with perfectly seasoned rice and the freshest possible fish.
Tips from diners
Surprisingly one of the best sushis in Eixample. Don't let the 'party' vibe fool you, the sushi chef really knows his stuff. The tuna nigiri is excellent.
Our bar program is designed to match the surrealist decor. Expect cocktails served in unexpected vessels (like seashells or daliesque clocks) using unique infusions like eucalyptus, truffle, or roasted pineapple. Our signature 'Gala G&T' uses local botanicals and botanical 'smoke'.
Tips from diners
The drinks are as beautiful as the restaurant. Ask the bartender for a recommendation based on your mood — they are very creative.
Handmade fettuccine is tossed in a white truffle cream sauce and topped with an incredibly light and savory foam of aged Parmesan cheese. It is finished with freshly shaved seasonal black truffles at the table.
Tips from diners
The parmesan foam makes it much lighter than a traditional cream sauce. The truffle aroma is amazing as soon as they bring the plate.
We source the best lamb from the Catalan Pyrenees and slow-roast it for 12 hours with rosemary, garlic, and thyme. It's served with roasted baby potatoes and its own highly concentrated juices. It's the ultimate 'mountain' dish for the city.
Tips from diners
A very generous portion. The meat is incredibly juicy. Great if you're looking for something traditional in a modern space.
Gala is more than a restaurant; it's an immersive experience. Located in Eixample, the space is divided into different 'worlds', including a library, a surrealist dining room, and a courtyard with a functional carousel. The menu is surprisingly high-quality given the focus on design, offering everything from fresh market sushi to traditional Catalan grilled meats and creative cocktails.
You MUST visit the courtyard. There is a functional carousel that is great for photos. The library room is better for a quiet dinner, while the main room is more high-energy with a DJ in the evening.
Gala is an 'exclusive' spot, so dress to impress. It's a very fashionable crowd, especially on Thursday and Friday nights.
