BRLO brews modern beer diversity in small quantities — Pils, IPA, Baltic Porter, and seasonal experiments. The brews change regularly. The on-site brewery is visible from the beer garden, and tours are available. All beers are draught only.
Tips from diners
Ask the bartender what's currently on tap and what pairs with your food choice.
BRLO does brewery tastings — group tours available. Book in advance for a guided tour.
The signature vegetable dish — whole cauliflower florets roasted until tender, then glazed with the brewery's house pale ale, which adds body and subtle hoppy bitterness. The glaze caramelizes and adds depth. Fresh herbs finish the dish. This is vegetables treated with real technique, not an afterthought.
Tips from diners
This is the dish that defines BRLO's approach — vegetables get real attention and technique.
Pair with their pale ale — the brewery beer and the glaze complement each other.
Part of BRLO's Sunday 'Chicken & Beer' pop-up, though sometimes available during the week. Buttermilk-brined chicken breast, fried crispy, served in a soft potato bun with house slaw and sauce. The bun quality elevates the sandwich.
Tips from diners
Check if available — it's best on Sundays as part of the 'Chicken & Beer' pop-up, but sometimes appears mid-week.
Pair with an IPA — the hoppy beer cuts through the richness of the fried chicken.
Chicory is bitter and earthy — frying it creates crispy exterior and tender interior, then the smoked-tomato pesto adds umami and mild heat. It's a vegetable side dish done with real intention.
Tips from diners
This is an underrated dish — the bitter chicory and smoky pesto work together beautifully.
The meat option — pork ribs smoked low and slow until tender, sourced from regional free-range farms. Served with house sides. A straightforward, well-executed preparation that balances BRLO's vegetable focus.
Tips from diners
The ribs are falling-off-the-bone tender — ask for extra napkins.
BRLO Brwhouse opened in 2017 at Park am Gleisdreieck in Kreuzberg. The restaurant is housed in 38 converted shipping containers and serves as the heart of BRLO's craft beer operation. The culinary philosophy is distinctive: vegetable-focused gastronomy with regional, high-quality meat as a side dish. Chef-driven preparations of vegetables (baked cauliflower glazed with BRLO's pale ale, fried chicory dressed in smoked-tomato pesto) compete with smoked ribs and grilled burgers from free-range farms. The beer program features artisanal small-batch brews from the on-site brewery. Sunday features a 'Chicken & Beer' pop-up with smoked and fried chicken. The beer garden overlooks the Gleisdreieck U-Bahn bridge and passing trains.
BRLO is in the middle of Park am Gleisdreieck near the Gleisdreieck U-Bahn station. The container structure is unique and the vibe is casual beer garden.
Closed Mondays. Open Tues-Fri from 5 PM, Sat-Sun from noon. Kitchen closes at 10 PM daily. Make reservations online for groups or busy times.
Sundays feature 'Chicken & Beer' pop-up at noon — smoked chicken straight from the smoker, crispy fried chicken, and vegetarian options.
